VIENNA, AUSTRIA – The European Broadcasting Union and Austria’s ORF, have revealed the design for the much anticipated “postcards” – the short snippet aired before each song at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Each clip will start with the upcoming contestant who receives an invitation to one of nine regions in Austria. Contestants will then tour the region, passing by landmarks, natural beauties and other places of interest in order to find their way to Vienna. Each postcard will have its own theme as well, such as culture, sports, science and many more.
The basis of the postcards is this year’s motto “Building Bridges”. Production has already begun and will be completed by the end of next month, with filming taking place across Austria and Europe. San Marino was one of the first countries to film their postcard at the Vienna Opera Ball.
