ÖRNKÖLDSVIK, SWEDEN – The city of Örnsköldsvik with Fjällräven Center announced today, last day of bidding for the hosting of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, their proposal for the project. The city now officially joins Stockholm, Göteborg, Sandviken and Linköping.
The arena proposed by the city of city of Örnsköldsvik can have more than 9,800 auditors and they say the press centre will be located at the parking lot of the venue (it happened before i.e. Kyiv 2005).
Now SVT will examine the proposals and submit their decision for final approval to the EBU Reference Group on late July / early August. The preliminary dates for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest are 10, 12 and 14 of May, 2016.
