UKRAINE – The drama about Ukrainian organization of the event seems far away now. Indeed, the capital city appears to be more than ready to welcome Europe. The venue is ready, the city is decorated, hundreds of volunteers are waiting for their guest… It is clear now that Ukraine wants to be at its best, and want visitors to discover the nation.
A new initiative was presented today. For the event, the city will organize the Euro Resto Week, that is to say that from May 8th, the 100 best restaurants of Kiev will unite to present Ukrainian cuisine at its best. Those restaurants will propose 3 different menus (10, 17 or 28 Euros), with 2 typical dish and a drink.
Get ready to taste various national food, like cabbage rolls with marlin, mille feuille with pork lard, Ukrainian shpunda with Poltava dumplings and Black Sea bulls, rapanas and oysters, Transcarpathian mushrooms, herbs… Cocktails will also be created for the occasion!
Mrs Sydorenko, PR manager of the Eurovision declared “We have received a large number of inquiries from the international journalists asking them which restaurants are worth visiting in Kyiv, so we turned to experts who had already conducted more than five RestoWeeks and compiled a list of recommended organizations for us, who in their turn have developed proposals with the unique menus and prices.”
