THE NETHERLANDS – EBU issued a Tweet trough which they made clear that the host city of the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest will be announced according to schedule on August 30th. This comes after a weird discovery yesterday on the web. Inspecting the code of the official AVROTROS Eurovision page, it was mentioned that Rotterdam is the host city.
There is no statement why this panned by no matter what we have still in the run two options for the 2020 Eurovision hosting job. If Maastricht gets the job the event will take place at the city Expocenter with about 12,000 auditors.
If Rotterdam wins the bidding then we will go to AHOY arena with about 16,000 auditors. It would be the same venue where the 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place and in fact it was one of the best events for JESC back then (if not the best).
The wait is nearly over!🗓️
We’ll be revealing which city will be hosting the 2020 #Eurovision Song Contest on Friday 30 August! 🏙️
Will it be #Maastricht or #Rotterdam? 🇳🇱
