THE NETHERLANDS – The filming for Eurovision 2021 includes the emblem of the city of Rotterdam, the Erasmus Bridge or Erasmusbrug, which could not be missing from the sites chosen for this purpose.
The video shooting on the bridge took place during the night. The reason was to avoid the gathering of people who would like to watch the process.
In the city of Rotterdam, there is a curfew from 21:00 to 04:00 in the morning in order to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus.
For filming the bridge closed at 19:00 and reopened at 09:30 this morning. Those pedestrians who wanted to cross it had to be accompanied by a traffic warden.
The residents of the surrounding area were informed about the shooting and were even asked to leave the lights of their apartments on as much as possible in order for the spectacle to be more impressive.
No one still knows exactly what was shot on Erasmus Bridge. You can see footage from the shooting in the following video.

The Erasmus Bridge was built from 1986 to 1996.
It connects the northern and southern parts of Rotterdam. It is named after Desiderius Erasmus, a Dutch Renaissance humanist, Catholic priest, teacher and theologian.
