THE NETHERLANDS – From Christian Dior to HM, the appearances of the Eurovision participants stunned the camera and the photographers once again. As we do annually, we created three polls to vote for the best outfit. In the following three polls you can choose up to three of your favourite appearances. In this post, you can see how the Eurostars shared their Turquoise carpet outfits on Instagram. Among them, you can see the Polish delegation, dressed up although isolated in their hotel.
It’s a Eurovision tradition that the Host City throws a red carpet event for our participants, and though we face challenges posed by COVID-19, this year is no exception. Koos van Plateringen and Fenna Ramos are our reporters on the ground.
Ahead of the “Turquoise Carpet” and Opening Ceremony events, two members from the Polish and Icelandic delegations respectively tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, those delegations were absent from the events, having gone into self-isolation in accordance with the contest’s health and safety protocols. The Romanian and Maltese delegations were also absent from the ceremony on a precautionary measure, as they were based in the same hotel as the Polish and Icelandic delegations.
