THE NETHERLANDS – The split results of the three live shows announced and we have interesting facts.
In the first semi-final, the public voted for Ukraine and the jury for Malta. Croatia was in the jury top ten but missed the combined result by five points. Ireland was last in the combined, Australia in the public and North Macedonia in the jury!
In the second semi-final, the public voted for Finland and the jury for Switzerland. Denmark was far away from qualifying as it ranked #11 in the combined results. San Marino boosted by the juries but also made it tenth in the public voting. In the last places, the combined place went to Latvia, in the public went to the Czech Republic and in the juries went to Georgia.
In the grand final as you all noticed Italy won the public voting (and the overall combined) while Switzerland won the jury voting. The #10 tie is solved as Greece is now 10th and Bulgaria 11th. For the first time, the public gave four zeros (Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, The Netherlands). We know it’s not about their direct qualification to the final (Italy can prove that) but it was their awful songs. For the first time in recent years, we got a zero (to the UK) from the juries too.
