From GRINZANE CAVOUR in Italy, we move to PALA ALPITOUR, after the postponement of the Portuguese rehearsal due to the COVID-19 issue emerged. Mia Dimsić is taking the stage and giving a romantic performance. We all somehow know that this one has no fate in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest but sounds to be the most honest tune in this year’s event. The three dancers interact with Mia throughout the performance while the signer and her guitar make their presence obvious. Not sure about the vocals (at least in the first take). But we have heard no Croatian lyrics, meaning that there was never an EBU approval. Can I be honest? Not convinced! Mia complained about her in-ear!
ABOUT THIS ARTIST
Mia is a globe-trotting singer from Croatia with a string of hits to her name. Born in Osijek, Dimšić’s musical career began when rock band Džentlmeni invited her to accompany them gigging in the US and Canada. After the tour had finished, it wasn’t long before the singer started composing her own solo material; citing icons such as Norah Jones, Kacey Musgraves and Taylor Swift as major influences. Mia’s creativity has since led to two chart-topping albums (plus a Christmas album peaking at number 2), and 6 number-one singles on the Croatian charts. And despite being relatively young, the singer’s achievements have been so notable that she’s already released her own memoir… Cesta Do Sna (The Road to a Dream).
