GREECE – It is that time of the year that MAD VMA concluded and we start thinking of who should represent Greece in the next Eurovision Song Contest. Although ERT hasn’t made clear whether an open or internal selection will take place, and actually lots of discussions are already made for this reason with production companies proposing several things, we thought to write something about it.
No matter whether an open or internal selection takes place, we have listed four artists who would seem highly likeable to become Greece’s next Eurovision best thing, especially after Stefania’s success, an artist which is not known or familiar to the Greek audience, but now she is considered (somehow) their sweetheart.
๐ฌ๐ท Who should represent Greece in Eurovision 2022?

The first option most Eurofans would love to see in terms of commercial activity is that of Josephine Wendel, whom we got to know in the 2015 Greek national final. Josephine’s cheesy hits the past few years and her Foureira-style dance act could be a spectacle for the Eurovision audience. After all she keeps winning awards and slays on social media.
An interesting option pointed to us by our amazing Spanish colleague Victor, is that of Evangelia; an American-Greek singer which represented Greece in the thirty-third edition and thirty-fourth edition of the North Vision Song Contest with the song “Pรกme Pรกme” and “Fotiรก”. Evangelia Psarakis grew up commuting between her grandmotherโs small farm on the Greek island of Crete and her parentsโ home in New Jersey on the American East Coast – two completely different musical worlds, both of which influenced her style. An Evangelia song blends modern urban pop music with sounds from her Greek roots, contemporary club beats and catchy melodies. By fusing American pop culture with traditional Greek elements, Evangelia honours her ancestors while also creating a legacy of her own. Her art connects to people through a message of being confidently in love with yourself, with someone else, and with what is most important to you.
A rising star in Greece right now is Good Job Nicky, the son of the legendary singer Yannis Parios. GOOD JOB NICKY or Nikolas achieved what few achieve in their career. He became famous overnight. January 8th, which was released by Cobalt Music, made Greece talk. Few knew that they were listening to the son of Giannis Parios and Sofia Aliberti.
Last but not least, the male version of Eleni Foureira with amazing dance skills is Vangelis Kakouriotis. We have seen him performing at MAD VMA with Luca Hรคnni in the 2019 edition of the show and he is highly interested in the contest as long as the proper song is found. Though, not so sure if ERT would be going that way. After all, let’s recall that ERT has been declined the Foureira option four times!
