POLAND / PRESS RELEASE – Rehearsals on the Eurovision stage are a test not only for artists but also for delegations – including directors of the show.
This year’s Polish staging is the responsibility of the duo of Mikołaj Dobrowolski and Tomasz Klimek, who direct the biggest shows on TVP. We asked them about the idea behind the stage presentation and the leitmotif of the performance:
“During today’s first rehearsal, the TVP team together with Rai prepared a show of Ochman for the Eurovision stage in Turin. The performance will be completely different from the one you saw during the national selection. Ochman will present his great asset – unique voice – to be able to show it properly, the artist will appear on stage without the musicians.”
So what will we see on stage?
“Ochman’s entire performance will focus on his charismatic and expressive vocal. The performance with the song “River” is to take viewers into the dark and mysterious world of the river that the song is talking about. It is the modern world that has changed a lot recently” – they add.
“Agustin Egurrola’s dancers will also appear on stage, but in a different than usual way. Ochman’s staging is an amazing story, in which an important role is played by the lighting design, visualizations and special graphic effects, that only the viewers will see on the screen – they have been specially prepared for this unique performance.”
This was the second day of the Eurovision adventure for the Polish representative. According to the regulations of the European Broadcasting Union, Krystian had thirty minutes to use on stage, and then he took part in a Meet & Greet with media representatives.
The press meeting caught the attention of many journalists who followed it online, asking in the comments about the artist’s feelings about his performance and participation in Eurovision itself.
