ITALY – The postcard filming for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 has begun, with Perugia announced as the first site.
Rai has started shooting the postcards for the 66th Eurovision Song Contest.
The postcards seem to match the contest’s motto “the Sound of Beauty,” with Rai shooting in attractive and lovely spots around Italy.
According to Cinguetterai, the shooting began yesterday in the middle of Perugia, with postcards planned to be shot around the rest of Italy in the next weeks.
So yet, Rai has not disclosed any information about the selected venues.
The postcards are shown before the start of each Eurovision Song Contest performance, with each country getting a distinctive postcard.
Traditionally, postcards are used to advertise the host nation of that year’s event or to highlight the singer who will perform next.
In 2021, the postcard included all of the artists displayed in a little home in a one-of-a-kind location in the Netherlands.
In their native countries, the musicians recorded in front of a green screen and were then overlaid into a little house packed with artefacts linked to them.
