ITALY – Emanuele “Laccio” Cristofoli, production manager for the Eurovision 2022 contest, gave a very interesting interview in La Stampa, where he revealed everything that the Italian organizers are preparing for the three shows of the 66th Eurovision contest.
The creative team, consisting of Cristofoli, consisting of Claudio Santucci and Claudio Fasulo have already come up with the structure and events that will take place in each of the three live shows, in addition to the competition part.
The start of the first semifinal will convey empathy and augmented reality. Images of the planets will be shown to the public and more than 40 dancers will pay tribute to the sun as a symbol of joy, life and hope.
“Eurovision 2022 will be one of the largest performances ever held in Italy: a huge, central stage with many sections forming a self-rotating sun thanks to a sophisticated engine. The history of Italy will be entrusted to the hosts, thanks to the slogan we have chosen for our edition: “The Sound of Beauty”. The movement of the stage and the architecture of the stage are inspired by the history of our country, and the sun and allow stage movements that take your breath away. Something he has never seen live and on TV.”
In the first semifinal, we will have the opportunity to see on stage Diodato, the representative of Italy in the Eurovision 2020 competition, which was cancelled. Also, in the interval act, we will have the opportunity to get a strong dose of Italian disco.
What is known so far about the second semifinal is that its start will be assigned to Alessandro Cattelan, who will be called upon to highlight the funny character of the Italians, highlighting the stereotypes of the neighbouring people in a humorous way. Seven years after participating in Eurovision, Il Volo returns to the competition in May. The musical trio will appear in the Second Semifinal on Thursday, May 12, as an interval act.
At the start of the Eurovision 2022 final, all the friends of the competition will have the opportunity to see their Rockin’1000 live from Piazza San Carlo, while the entrance to the PalaOlympico will be with pictures by Laura Pausini who gave us a potpourri of her most famous successes – and not only – in five different languages, specially edited for Eurovision.
Also during the final, Mika will present his own songs, while he will take the opportunity to present his new single for the first time in the world.
