ITALY – The official Eurovision account on Instagram, published a 3D video that presents the Turin stage, which will host the 3 shows of the competition on May 10, 12 and 14. Responsible for the design of the stage is Francesca Montinaro, stage creator of the Sanremo Festival twice (2013 and 2019). Montinaro explained earlier the inspiration behind the design:
“It represents Italy, with its sun, sea, art and nature, but above all, it represents the Italians with their unique inclination to adapt and welcome.”
The idea of the scenography is The Sun Within which is based on the movements and the light of a moving sun. The stage is able to show theatrical movement, which is framed by water, while there will be a lush Italian garden that will wave the rays in front of it.
Stand-in rehearsals are underway and we are expecting videos soon to be leaked and EBU soon to be furious.

Their role in the press room will be to welcome the various singers, delegations and presenters to the various press conferences that will take place after each rehearsal.
DIODATO IS FINALLY IN EUROVISION
Diodato will finally get to perform on the Eurovision Song Contest stage as the singer has been confirmed as a special interval act in the First Semi-Final, two years after he was picked as the Italian participant for the cancelled 65th edition.
Diodato won the 70th Sanremo Festival back in 2020 with the song Fai Rumore – which topped the Italian charts and looked set to captivate an international audience at the Contest scheduled for Rotterdam.
However, as we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic changed everybody’s plans and prevented the artist from Aosta representing his home country, Italy, in the Netherlands.

GREEN ROOM IS GREEN
The idea for the décor of the Green Room for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, according to stage designer Francesca Montinar, is a lush garden. House plants and Italian gardens, as well as establishing a link with nature, serve as major sources of inspiration for the design.
This year’s stage idea is “The Sun Within,” which is based on the motions and light of a dynamic sun. The stage would be able to “display dramatic movements framed by water and will have a beautiful Italian garden lapping up the sunlight in front of it.” The Green Room, which will be located in front of the stage, will replicate this beautiful garden. This is evident in a newly published 3D animation depicting the whole stage design.
The Green Room, which will be located directly in front of the stage, is inspired by the sense of baroque gardens such as those seen at Villa d’Este, Castel Gandolfo, Villa Lante, and other estates around Italy. The water surrounding the stage, which will be located between the Green Room and the main stage, will be reminiscent of park fountains.
Francesca Montinaro, the designer of the design, has also constructed the stages of the Sanremo Music Festival twice (2013 and 2019). Montinaro revealed the idea for the green room’s design:
“We are a part of nature, and we are a part of nature. When we create, we never forget about it.”
