GREECE – Today STAR CHANNEL revealed the jury panel for the new DANCING WITH THE STARS season in Greece. After all STAR CHANNEL takes over the show from ANTENNA TV and wants to give another approach to the entire show. Besides the new staging and logos, STAR CHANNEL skipped the celebrity jury panel we got used to and added four dance professionals to it.
ABOUT JASON
Among them, some might recognize the 2008 Greek entrant in the EUROVISION DANCE contest, Jason Roditis. Following the official CV for Jason we read:
His passion, talent, and dedication led him to the top of world dance competitions. He is a ballroom and Latin champion while in recent years he has been a judge in international competitions and a Lecturer in China, Australia, London, and the US.
He has been the Artistic Director of Galaxy Of Stars & Galaxy of Fame in Hong Kong and is a dance instructor at the world-renowned Beijing Dance Academy of China and Honorary Artistic Director at Beijing Ballroom Dance Troupe.
He has worked with renowned West End choreographer Sir Anthony Van Last. With his dance partner Tonia Kosovich, they appeared on the international show “Burn the Floor”. The 77-stage tour worldwide remains the richest theatrical experience of his career.
EDC 2008
The Eurovision Dance Contest 2008 was the second edition of the Eurovision Dance Contest and was held in Glasgow, Scotland, hosted by the BBC on 6 September.
The presenters were, as in the previous edition, Graham Norton and Claudia Winkleman. The contest took place at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre.
The winners of the contest were Edyta Herbuล and Marcin Mroczek from Poland who achieved a score of 154 points.
2nd place went to Russia, 3rd place to Ukraine, 4th place to Lithuania, and 5th place to Azerbaijan who was participating for the first time.
Greece was represented by Jason Roditis and Tonia Kosovich and they ranked 7th with 72 points.
MORE EUROSTARS IN DWTS
Jason is not the only Eurovision star in the 2021 DWTS season. Bessy Argyraki (Greece 1977) and Elena Tsagrinou (Cyprus 2021) are also included as celebrities learning the skills of dancing. But there is one more Eurostarย entering the show and we will soon announce him too.
