BELGIUM – Everything was running smoothly in the “live” show of EUROVISION: EUROPE SHINE A LIGHT 2020 which replaced the 2020 EUROVISION SONG CONTEST due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Although we will discuss the entire show, its nature and its impact in the fandom in another post, we noticed that there was (of course) a scandal merging from the event. This time it came from… Belgium.
The band Hooverphonic did not participate in the joint performance of “Love Shine A Light” that took place on the Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light program.
รenย confirmed, on social media, that the decision was made by the members of the group, with several users claiming that Alex Callier, a member of the group, criticized the song with which Katrina and The Waves won the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest.
Somehow we feel that we will have an update on this story soon…!
Leuk nieuws: volgend jaar vindt het Eurovisiesongfestival plaats in Rotterdam! #Eurovision
