Eurovision legend Carola Häggkvist will make a special guest appearance at Eurovision in Concert on April 13! The 1991 Eurovision Song Contest winner will treat the audience to some of her biggest Eurovision hits on April 13! On behalf of Sweden, this year’s host country of the Eurovision Song Contest, Carola will also welcome all participating delegations at the press program during the day.
Carola took part in the Eurovision Song Contest 3 times. Back in 1983, sixteen-year-old Carola became third with the song Främling. Her debut album Främling sold over one million copies in her home country; until this day the biggest selling album ever in Sweden. In 1991 she took part again in the Eurovision Song Contest and this time she won the trophy! Her winning song Fangad av en stormvind brought Eurovision to Malmö in 1992. In 2006 she decided to try her luck once again and her song Invincible reached a very respectable fifth place!
We’re delighted ‘La Häggkvist’ accepted our invitation to perform during the fifth anniversary of Eurovision in Concert and we’re sure she’ll be stunning – as always!
