WARSAW, POLAND – Mietek Szcześniak, the Polish representative in the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest accused the Eurovision Song Contest that it’s about business and not music anymore during an interview at wPoliticye.pl
He is still watching the contest and actually in 2014 he was member of the Polish jury and defended the role of the juries as since tele voting implemented the contest changed!
“This is a unique festival. Nor is it about music, but about business. These are huge amounts of money that they earn people who are organizing and taking part in it. Once, when there was no music TV type MTV and when contractors evaluated by a professional jury were won Celine Dion and Abba. Then it was totally different event. Later it changed.”
