Speaking in Gliwice JESC press conference, Jon Ola Sand has commented on Kazakhstan in Eurovision and potential EBU membership. The European Broadcasting Union has repeatedly stated that there is currently no plan to invite the Kazakh broadcaster, Khabar Agency, to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest.

According to the Albanian press, Eleni Foureira will attend and perform at the Festivali i Kenges 58.
SWEDEN 🇸🇪
The Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet has today announced three more artists expected to participate in Melodifestivalen 2020, where the Swedish Eurovision act for Rotterdam will be chosen. According to their source at Nöjesbladet, the three acts who are now named as taking part are Mohombi, William Strid and Klara Hammarström.
HUNGARY 🇭🇺
According to a Hungarian newspaper, Magyar Hang, LMP Green Party MP Péter Ungár has asked the government the question of Hungary’s non-participation in this year’s Eurovision. Foreign Minister Bence Rétvári declined to answer the question, saying:
“No member of the government has the power to review or control the decisions of the public broadcaster – and therefore the production decision referred to in the question.”

Russian commentator in JESC 2019, posted on his social media that after the JESC edition, that CHANNEL ONE is now gearing up internal selection for Eurovision 2020.
UKRAINE 🇺🇦
MARUV revealed during an interview in Ukraine that BBC proposed her to represent the UK in Eurovision 2020 either was a performer or as a composer.
CROATIA 🇭🇷
HRT signed a contract with the City of Opatija and the companies Opatija 21 and Festival Opatija. The parties agreed in this contract that the “Days of HRT” in 2020 and 2021 are going to be celebrated once again in Opatija, and Croatia’s Eurovision pre-selection Dora is a part of this project as well. There will be a total of 16 acts competing in Dora 2020, and the show will once again take place in the Marino Cvetković hall. Tickets for the show should be on sale in January.
