Eurovision โ Australia Decides โ Gold Coast 2019 has been announced regional winner of the Asian Academy Creative Awards for Best Music or Dance Programme. Congratulations SBS Eurovision, Visit Queensland, Australia, City of Gold Coast, Screen Queensland, on winning the Regional Asian Academy Creative Award for Australia & New Zealand, Best Music or Dance Programme.
ESTONIA ๐ช๐ช
On the official Eesti Laul social media accounts, its was revealed this morning that 178 songs had been submitted to the Estonian selection, used to choose the country’s participant for the Eurovision Song Contest. This includes 102 songs in foreign languages and 76 songs in the Estonian language. Head of Eesti Laul, musician Tomi Rahula hinted although the number of submissions is lower than previous years, the number of stories within the songs has risen.
SWEDEN ๐ธ๐ช
The list of artists we will see competing in the next Melodifestivalen grows. Three names have been added today, according to Aftonbladet, among them the legend of music schlager and veteran of the competition, Linda Bengtzing. This will be the seventh entry for Linda Bengtzing at Melodifestivalen, now 45 years old. Her first attempt was in 2005, with her fifth-best in 2008. Her last attempt was in 2016 when she was excluded directly in the semifinals.
CROATIA ๐ญ๐ท
Eurosong.hr reports that Igor ล tok, has revealed that Dora will be used as the Croatian selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest until 2021. According to the report, Mr ล tok stated in a television interview that the Croatian national broadcaster is set to sign a contract with Opatija 21, to hold the selection in Opatija for two more years. It isreported that 2020 DORA final has been set for 29/2.
PORTUGAL ๐ต๐น
RTP has revealed that a total of 320 songs were submitted to compete for the one spot as the public submission for Festival da Canรงรฃo. The number of public song submission increased by 120 over 2019, however, is still down on the record of 346 in 2018.
THE NETHERLANDS ๐ณ๐ฑ
Rotterdam will also host an academic conference in what is widely expected to be rehearsal week. The conference will explore music, identity, media and politics in light of the Eurovision Song Contest. Titled โEURovision 2020โ, the conference will be hosted by the School of History, Culture and Communications at Erasmus University Rotterdam on the 6th and 7th May respectively. It was announced on Twitter by Julian Schaap, Assistant Professor of Cultural Sociology, which included a call for papers.

OG3NE who represented the Netherlands at Eurovision 2017 and Junior Eurovision 2007, both winning the 11th place, spoke to the Dutch press, expressing a desire to participate in the 65th Eurovision Song Contest, not as contestants, but as contestants, act.
“We would be very happy if we could show up at Ahoy, as we see all the fans in the competition say they would have liked it, but we haven’t heard anything from the competition yet.”

Markus Rivas has revealed his intention to re-enter the national selection and keep the dream on for a potential Eurovision participation
โYes, I do have ideas for Eurovision, and I am not ready to give up โ I think people have understood year after year that Markus wonโt be a quitter. But yes, very soon I will have a song in Latvian, and the song โ Kamฤr vien mฤs esamโ (Whilst we are alone) with Dinara Rudane is doing well. Itโs joyful to see that the duo is doing so well, weโve got many requests for next yearโs wedding season to perform the song, asking if they can dance to the song.
CZECH REPUBLIC ๐จ๐ฟ
Czech national broadcaster will hold no televised selection for Rotterdam. Instead, everything will go online. This means that on 6/1 there will be a press conference to present the 8 artist and on 13/1 the songs will be revealed, in order to kick off the voting. On 26/1 the voting will close and the winner will be announced.
EUROVISION 2020 THE ๐ณ๐ฑ
The host city of Rotterdam has published the agreement it signed with NOS, regarding the hosting of the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. Within the document, the key dates for the competition have been outlined provisionally. The provisional dates in the document are:

ISRAEL ๐ฎ๐ฑ
HaKokhav HaBa LโEurovizion kicks off on November 23rd. Assi Azar and Rotem Sela will host the show while Shiri Maimon, Assaf Amdursky, Itay Levy, Keren Peles and Static & Ben El Tavori will form the jury. This year there will be a special extra show for the audience to vote for the song the show winner will sing in Eurovision 2020.
