UNITED KINGDOM – Adele, Sam Fender, Dave, Ed Sheeran, Little Simz, Little Mix, AJ Tracey, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Eurovision stars Maneskin have all been recognised in the nominations for the revamped Brit Awards, which take place at London’s 02 Arena this evening.

The new-look Brit Awards for 2022 take place tonight, with gender-specific categories scrapped and stars Adele and Dave leading the pack with four nominations each.

Following lots of speculation, it was confirmed earlier this month that Adele will indeed perform, alongside Liam Gallagher, Dave, Sam Fender, Little Simz, Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran and the competition’s rising star award winner Holly Humberstone.

Genre categories, including dance, pop and hip-hop, are new this year, recognising the talent within those styles.

And it’s not only the categories that have been overhauled – there are new hosts too, with Maya Jama, Mo Gilligan and Clara Amfo presenting for the first time.
