RUSSIA – After rumors surrounding the name of Ukrainian singer Alexander Panayotov, the Russian press has released other possible names on the Channel One wish list. One of the names comes to mind: it is that of Elena Temnikova , who represented Russia at Eurovision 2007 as lead singer of Trio Cerebra. A few days ago, the singer released a patriotic song about superheroes and, what made the fans more intrigued, is that ” Sumasshedshiy Russkiy ” has exact three minutes of duration. Listen to the song below:
AUSTRIA – Nathan Trent, who will represent Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest this year, has given fans a history … The young singer, Seefeld, who will represent his country in Kirv this year, said he would share the song of Eurovision in an open-air concert. SPAIN – This past year was the year of many celebrity deaths but recent rumour online had suggested that Spanish 1968 Eurovision winner, Massiel had died last weekend. This was immediately dismissed by Massiel herself who immediately claimed that she was very much alive. The problem stemmed from a craze of social media stating that someone famous had died without any actual proof of this having been the case and such rumour caused alarm for relatives and friends of the singer, who immediately became worried upon hearing the news. Immediately the singer’s agent confirmed that Massiel was not only in perfect health but also perfectly safe at home. Massiel has not been happy over these rumours, claiming that she had received numerous calls, including one from TVE themselves to see if she was indeed in perfect health. Massiel feels that the rumours are due to her lack of media appearances of late and that although she can simply ignore it all now and continue enjoying life, it has not been a pleasant experience.
CYPRUS – The Cypriot entry titled “Gravity” will be revealed through CyBC on March 1st. At the moment Hovig and his team are filming the video clip of the song directed by Emilios Avraham, the man who also directed the video clip of Minus One last year. In the meantime there are constant meetings on how the song should be presented on stage during the Kyiv Eurovision Song Contest edition. According to Thomas G:son the song will be between a ballad and a dance song, whatever that might mean.
SWEDEN – During a TV interview Loreen, the 2012 Eurovision winner and 2017 Melodifestivalen participant revealed she is a bisexual. What an excellent promo statement ahead of her participation in the 4th semi final of the #melfest edition. Loreen said: “Many are too damn focused on sex, sexuality. Love is so much more. I usually say ‘love is where you find it’. That makes you bisexual? Yes, actually. Then I may say that I’m there, simply.I have no lack of love, so to speak.”

🇷🇺 Elena’s song “Sumasshedshiy Russkiy” would be too political for Eurovision. Maybe her fans can start a petition to make “Sumasshedshiy Russkiy” Russia’s new national anthem.
🇦🇹 It’s already February, so only three (3) weeks left until the Austrian entry is revealed!
🇪🇸 How many deaths does it take to reach “all the deaths of 2017” before moving to next year?
🇨🇾 As soon as Hovig dropped that recent hint, I had a feeling that his entry would be titled “Gravity”.
🇸🇪 Basically, her team is looking for a reason to “control the damage and move on to another popular trend”.
