AUSTRALIA – Evie Irie, a rookie to the pop-punk genre, will sing “When I’m With You” with Isaiah Firebrace, who previously represented Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with “Don’t Come Easy.”
On February 4th, the song will be released.
The eleventh artist participating in this year’s Eurovision – Australia Decides will be unveiled on the same day. TikTok is used to choose the wildcard artist.
Evie Irie says
“If there’s one thing I like as much as creating music for my own project, it’s writing with other artists for their projects: it’s not work, it’s just fun! So when Isaiah and his team asked me to do Eurovision with this random wonderful song called, “When I’m With You”, that we had such a great time writing together, I was seriously shaken. I never EVER thought I’d have the chance to play at Eurovision and I just can’t say no to Isaiah.”
Two songs from Eurovision – Australia Decides were released earlier this week. Voyager released “Dreamer,” an electro-pop meets metal song from the 1980s, while Jude York offered the inspiring “I Won’t Need to Dream.”
Eurovision – Australia Decides 2022, presented by Joel Creasey and Myf Warhurst, will air live on SBS on February 26, 2022, at 20:30 AEDT (9:30 a.m. GMT/10:30 a.m. CET).
KEiiNO, the Eurovision 2019 public vote winners, will return to Australia following a successful 2019 tour as the special international guest artist!
