GREECE – For the past 48 hours there is information about a prominent participant withdrawing from the race to represent Greece in Eurovision 2022.
Relying on to secure information coming to oikotimes newsdesk from three different sources with valid proves, up to this moment there is a significant problem with one of the participants.
Initially, we all thought that the reason is that this artist does not wish to enter the race if a national final applies. But this is not true. The weird thing is that the reason is far more mysterious.
While ERT is seriously examining the possibility of a national final, as we already revealed and confirmed by several media outlets despite the mocking of paid and FUNny websites, it was clear (confirming one more information by oikotimes) that by mid-December we will get to know if we are heading to such a solution.
During the sounding discussions of the national broadcaster, there were some remarks regarding a participant’s song. The broadcaster seems to have contacted the team of the artist to provide some information (or even changes – let’s not forget that Mr Papadimitriou is a prominent musician and surely he has every right to suggest things) but the specific artist has never answered back.
In fact, there is quite some time from the artist’s team (including the artist) not giving signs of feedback to the national broadcaster, raising questions whether this person is actually continuing bidding for the national selection race.
UPDATE
We have an update regarding the participant who seems to be ineligible to participate. Yes, the wording is carefully structured as there are far more serious reasons for it. We cannot reveal it because usually this reason can cause small unrest among the other participants and will not benefit the ERT effort for a serious preselection procedure, for which we have serious indications, it will be one of the most serious ones (either internal or public).
Keep in mind that this info has the current status by the time it is posted. Who knows? Maybe after many days of disappearance, today the artist will respond to ERT for their usual feedback.
Why don’t we say the artist’s name?
Well, we are sure that FUNny amateurs can publish it! We will respect the trust of our sources who (although provided solid proves of what is written here) asked us not to publish the name of the artist for obvious reasons.
