FRANCE – 1985 Irish entrant Maria Doyle (Maria Christian back then) revealed that she submitted a song for France’s Eurovision selection.
The 50 year old singer is now living with her husband Lunévilloise and recently reached the semi-finals of THE VOICE OF FRANCE.
It is a dream for her to represent France in Eurovision and revealed she has been already invited in the first auditions for the national selection.

Ireland was represented by Maria Christian, with the song ‘”Wait Until the Weekend Comes“, at the 1985 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 4 May in Gothenburg, Sweden.
“Wait Until the Weekend Comes” was chosen as the Irish entry at the national final on 27 March.
