We just can’t imagine, how the UK has dared so far. It’s Fredrik Kempe for the United Kingdom in Malmö!
This popular Swedish composer, is not unknown for the Eurovision fans, as he has composed many times for Melodifestivalen, (Hope & Glory, Moving On, The Girl and more) or even a singer himself. He also entered Eurovision, several times (Hero, La Voix, Popular). Now, it seems that he is aiming for Eurovision again, as the BBC asked him to compose their entry for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
Yesterday, it was announced that the popular girlband, Girls Aloud would be the English act in Malmö, but it’s been officialy denied on Twitter. Through various posts on the web we see that a member of Girls Aloud, Kimberly Walsh, could be finally representing the United Kingdom. She recorded her last studio album in Stockholm and as she says in collaboration with a Swedish composer.
But, now the question is… Kempe? We will find out soon, if these information are only rumors. The United Kingdom has always achieved great results at the contest, but since 2002 (they were 3rd), they have entered the top 5, once. Could this time be the lucky one, again?
