STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN – We all knew about unsuccessful Melodifestivalen entrant Molly Petterson Hammar’s connection with this year’s Maltese entry since she’s the woman behind Ira’s “Walk On Water”.
More surprisingly, the Swedish singer has also some kind of indirect connection with the 2016 Azerbaijan entry.
Indeed, website Schlagerprofilerna has just revealed that the song “Miracle” had been submitted to Melodifestivalen jury, with Molly’s powerful voice on the demo. The song “Hunger” was preferred and “Miracle” was put aside.
Luckily enough, the song was submitted and chosen by Azerbaijan broadcaster a few months later.
Yes, even though you won’t see Molly on Globen stage this year, the lady will surely be backstage, crossing her fingers for both Malta and Azerbaijan.
