The venue that will host the 2013 Eurovision Young Dancers competition has been confirmed by the European Broadcasting Union and host broadcaster TVP. The Baltic Opera and Dance Theatre will play host to next yearโs competition, which will showcase the best young dance talent that Europe has to offer.
Founded in February 1949 by Iwo Gall as a Music and Drama Studio, the Baltic Opera and Dance Theatre has played host to some of the best international cultural projects in the world and has played host to some of the most well-known performers from the fields of opera and dance.
The Baltic Dance Theatre started its existence in its current form on 1 March 2010, but already two years previously talented young dancers had started arriving in Gdaลsk from all over Poland to strengthen the small, yet dynamically developing Baltic Opera ballet team.
