GEORGIA – With Circus Mircus and “Lock Me In” Georgia will participate in Eurovision 2022. The song is presented on a black background due to the ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
The performance of Circus Mircus in Turin will be staged by Emilia Sandkvist, a member of the Sacha Jean Baptiste ensemble.
Emilia will work on the stage for Georgiaโs entry for the second year in a row, having built the set for Tornike Kipiani last year.

CIRCUS MIRCUS
“Due to the war in Ukraine, we feel that is not the right time to release our happy and colourful music video. As per ESC guidelines, the submission deadline is near, so we decided to released only audio while using the black background instead of the official music video footage, to express our share of solidarity towards our Ukrainian sisters and brothers.”
ABOUT CIRCUS MIRCUS
Circus Mircus is a Georgian progressive rock band consisting of Armenian drummer Bavonc Gevorcyan, Belgian singer and guitarist Igor Von Lichtenstein and Greek bassist and singer Damoklis Stavriadis.
The band mainly plays experimental music, mixing many genres, each of which represents a life experience and the “inner world” of each member.
The band was formed in late 2020 in Tbilisi when three graduates of the local circus academy became friends and left the academy to form their own band.
According to one member of the band, the three were probably the worst on the team, which is why they became friends.
