GERMANY – Felicia Lu (26) is a resident of Vienna. She grew raised in Freilassing, a tiny Bavarian village on the border with Austria.
At the age of 15, she knew she wanted to be a musician, a choice that was aided by her attendance at a specialized music school and participation in a chorus.
She published her debut original song in 2015, and in 2017 she made her first appearance in the German Eurovision heats.
In 2021, she started working as a full-time musician, writing songs for herself and other musicians.
Her tracks have been seen and played hundreds of thousands of times on YouTube and other streaming sites.
A MESSAGE FOR OIKOTIMES
Germany 12 Points will be the competition that will select Germany’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. The competition will take place on 4 March 2022 at the Studio Berlin Adlershof in Berlin, hosted by Barbara Schöneberger.
Interested artists and composers were able to submit their entries for the competition between 4 November 2021 and 30 November 2021.
By the end of the process, it was announced that 944 submissions were received by NDR.
25 entries were shortlisted by a forty-six member panel consisting of Alexandra Wolfslast (head of German delegation for Eurovision) and five representatives of each of the nine ARD radio channels:
Antenne Brandenburg, Bayern 3, Bremen Vier, hr3, MDR Jump, NDR 2, SR 1, SWR3 and WDR 2.
