GERMANY – 2018 representative of Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest, also newly wedded, Michael Schulte has given an interview in which he express his admiration for the experience he had in Lisbon and that he would love to represent Germany again in the contest.
“I love the Eurovision Song Contest. I’ve always liked it immensely and I would love to come back.” The goal of Michael Schulte in a potential return is not to get the trophy but to showcase his music and artistic talent.
Michael Schulte is a German singer and songwriter. He began his singing career in 2008, posting covers on his YouTube channel and later placed third on season one of The Voice of Germany in 2012. His debut studio album Wide Awake was released later that year.
He represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal, with the song “You Let Me Walk Alone”. He finished in fourth place with 340 points.
He has been called the German Ed Sheeran.
