Unser Song für Malmö is the title of the German national selection procedure for Eurovision Song Contest. The final will take place on February 14th at TUI arena in Hannover with 11 thousand audience. Thomas Schreiber, ARD entertainment coordinator said to local press that NDR negotiates with major record labels of the country to get the best submissions for the show in a combination of established, independent and newcomer artists.
Thomas Schreiber has not revealed the number of finalists but there will eight to twelve acts and three phase voting. Songs will be aired in all German national broadcaster radios (ARD) a week before the final. Radio voting, televoting and jury voting will determine the Eurovision representative. Ticket sales for the final begin on November 23rd. Thomas Schreiber admits the German selection will start following the Melodifestivalen recipe but semifinals were not added due to lack of time.
