CZECH REPUBLIC – The seven performers competing to represent the Czech Republic in Turin were announced today at a press conference held at T headquarters in Prague. Today, the running order was also set, with each competitor drawing for their spot after being questioned.
Each performer has recorded a live performance at the ČT studios in Prague, which will be used for voting. This differs from prior versions, in which voting was based on music videos.
Online voting will be available from December 7 to December 15. People will be able to vote through the official Eurovision app as previously, but this year there will also be a dedicated website hosting the voting.
The winner will be selected by a 50/50 international jury, a 25/25 worldwide public vote, and a 25/25 Czech public vote. The outcome will be announced on December 16.

Elis Mraz previously participated alongside Čis T in ESCZ 2020. They finished second as a team. The other six performers are participating in the competition for the first time.

We Are Domi is an electro-pop band formed in the UK in 2018, currently based in Prague, Czech Republic. The members come from the Czech Republic and Norway which enriches their spectrum of musical taste. The “Jezinky“, are the mythical creatures that lure people into the Bohemian forests, which Giudi says represent our deep-rooted fears that we must face, so we can heal our hearts. Czech musician Giudi is an artist who blends music with fashion and art, working with some of the coolest names in fashion and multimedia worldwide. Her music is already played on the radio in over 60 countries. Currently working on her debut album, she was picked to perform at Eurosonic 2022 in the Netherlands in January.
Stick-on tattoos and yellow colour – that is ANNABELLE. A singer and rapper originally from Prague, who studied music in London while also performing at local venues. As soon as ANNABELLE returned to Prague, she started writing and producing new tracks. Her single “Dadae” has successfully defended its position in the Czech music charts becoming one of the top 20 most aired tracks in the Czech Republic. A song that followed was “Black Hole” featuring the successful producer fiedlerski. Together they collected almost 300 000 streams on Spotify. Her bonus single “Anxiety” made it to the cover of Spotify’s popular New Music Friday CZ&SK playlist. In March ANNABELLE released her proper debut single “Medicine” that appeared in the Mega Hits Austria 2021 playlist and also in the Hungarian and Romanian New Music Friday playlists. In addition, the music video for this track has collected 140 000 views on YouTube. Her single “Charm” became a part of the international Spotify campaign EQUAL, where she appeared on a giant screen at Times Square, New York City. ANNABELLE’s latest single “Runnin’ Out Of F Time” was selected for the national finals of the Eurovision Song Contest. After these local successes, ANNABELLE is ready to introduce her music abroad and is preparing to take over the music world.
Eliška Mrázová (born 6th August 1994), better known under her stage name ELIS MRAZ, is a Czech singer-songwriter. In 2013, Eliška released her debut album “Shubidu” with a single Shubidu, that celebrated radio success in Europe. In 2014, Elis took part in the second season of the singing competition “Hlas Česko Slovenska” (“The Czech Slovak Voice”). She joined the team of coaches Dara Rolins and Marta Jandová and reached the semi-final stage, where she was eliminated. Later that year, she became the face of Coca-Cola’s campaign Řekni to písní (“Say it with a song”) and won the Český slavík (“Czech Nightingale”) award in the category “Discovery of the year”. In 2017 ELIS together with the Czech production trio Trick or Threat won Píseň pro Česka 01, the Czech national final for The Origin Song Contest 02 with the song “Reason”. At the contest, they managed to qualify to the Grand Final, placing third in the semi-final with 86 points. In the final, they finished second with 116 points, which to date is the best placement of the Czech Republic in the contest. After her participation in TOSC, Elis has been collaborating with foreign composers like Andrew Murray, Kenneth Karlin and Don Mescall, which also gave her the opportunity to travel around the world. Currently, she is working on her second album and composing songs for Czech and foreign artists as well. On 20th January 2020, she released another single called “Wanna Be Like”, featuring Slovak rapper Čis T. They participated in Czech Eurovision national selection ESCZ 2020 where they placed second. Imma Be is her 2nd Single that will compete in the Czech Eurovision semifinal. She wrote and produced this song all by herself.
Love, pink color and guitars. The Valentines are a pop band from Hradec Králové, formed in 2017, consisting of Honza Doležal – bass guitar / vocals, Ondřej Čepek – guitar / synth and Matěj Novotný – drums. The young trio, oscillating between David Bowie’s 80’s Let’s Dance aesthetics and contemporary guitar pop, plays “happy songs about the saddest things” in their own words. In 2019, The Valentines won the Radio Wave’s Starter (song contest), earning the opportunity to make the song and the video “Did My Back Hurt Your Knife?” Their single “Just Us” also appeared as the only song in the film A Certain Kind of Silence nominated for the Czech Lion (Czech film awards). The song with which The Valentines reached the Czech final of the Eurovision Song Contest, as well as the two previous songs, was produced by frontman Honza Doležal and Filip Vlček, who also mixed it. The song which was recorded in the bedroom was mastered by Ted Jensen, who has produced albums by Madonna, Talking Heads, Rolling Stones, Bring Me the Horizon and many many others.
The Czech and international backgrounds of Emma and Jordan (France and Israel) are key to the many musical influences on their work. They work and perform both separately and together inspired by a huge range of styles; soul, R&B, indie rock, hip hop, electronica, The Beatles, 70’s and 80’s pop, and good old-fashioned disco. Their hits include the duets “No Fire” and “Lost And Found” (over 4m views on YouTube). Jordan studied acting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and has since appeared in dozens of films and television series. In recent years he has directed more than 40 music videos and is co-writing the screenplay for his first feature film. He performs as a rapper in the always modest and low-key hip hop crew Kapitan Demo. After studying political science in Paris and Berlin, Emma’s priority is her passion for music and acting. She has appeared in nearly 20 film and TV projects, working with directors including Oscar winner Jiri Menzel and Oscar nominee Agnieszka Holland. She has toured her solo music extensively and is also well-known for her work as a news anchor (TV Nova) and interviewer (DVTV). Together, Emma and Jordan are parents of two young daughters (Lennon Marlene, 5 years, and Ariel Ava, 8 months).
Skywalker is a 4-piece modern rock band founded in 2011 in Prague, Czech Republic. During the first 5 years, the band focused on growing their name within the Czechoslovak modern metal/rock scene. Since 2016, the band has been successfully touring all over Europe with the likes of Beartooth, Crystal Lake, Normandie or Counterparts, visiting the UK repeatedly & flying out as far as China and Japan with dedicated local fanbases supporting Skywalker’s every step. With 3 EP’s and one full-length under their belt, Skywalker used the pandemic to finish their current full album Late Eternity (2021, Pale Chord / Rise Records) which the band had the opportunity to support live across Europe in autumn 2021. The group enters the Eurovision Song Contest with their fresh new single “Way Down”. Skywalker have always focused on creativity and authenticity, wearing their hearts on their sleeves, and entertaining their international audiences. Sonically, the band escapes simple labels, combining heavy sounds of metal and punk with a modern pop twist. Speaking openly about the topics of mental health, equal rights, Skywalker has become a pioneer both in the form and the content of modern rock music in the Czech Republic / Slovakia and beyond.
