REYKJAVIK, ICELAND – Iceland’s 2010 contestant, Hera Björk, joins the team for final preparations next week. Hera Björk, who’s been living in Chile for the last year, will be the group’s voice coach as well as a backing vocal in Vienna. Without doubt, many Eurovision fans will be happy to see Hera Björk return to Eurovision after her grand final performance of Je Ne Sais Quoi at the Telenor Arena in Oslo, Norway, five years ago. Hera Björk will perform at the Euro Café, Friday, May 22.
Two-time contestant, Selma, will also return to Eurovision, this time as a stage coordinator and performance coach. As Eurovision fans will know, Selma has represented Iceland twice, first in Jerusalem 1999 where she performed the song All out of luck. Her performance landed her the second place, Iceland’s best result, only 17 points behind Sweden’s Charlotte Nilsson. Selma then returned to the grand stage in Kiev 2005 where she performed If I had your love. Who knows? Maybe Selma will make a surprise appearance in Vienna.
María will perform the Icelandic ESC 2015 entry, Unbroken, on the stage in Wiener Stadthalle in the second semi-final, Thursday, May 21.
