THE NETHERLANDS – The Dutch government imposed harsher measures last week to limit the spread of the coronavirus. In addition to social distance, face masks, and QR codes, public spaces shall now shut at 17.00.
It posed a danger to most activities, such as concerts, plays, and other performances, that were scheduled to take place over these weeks.
The organizers of the Het Grote Songfestivalfeest were also worried and promised to provide an update on the event.
Today, the team made the formal notification that this year’s Het Grote Songfestivalfeest had been cancelled.
The event was scheduled for December 9th, 2021 in Amsterdam.
According to the Facebook post, it was not an easy choice to make, but the new limits left no other alternatives.
Any additional information about new dates and refunds will be provided later.
