CROATIA – Croatian broadcaster HRT has announced the 14 artists who will compete in Dora 2022 to represent Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy.
On 27 October 2021, HRT opened a submission period for artists and composers to send their entries to the broadcaster until 25 November 2021, later extending the deadline until 12 December 2021.
184 entries were received by the broadcaster during the submission period. Unlike in 2021, the winning song may no longer undergo a major revamp the following victory, with only minor modifications allowed with permission from the broadcaster.
The show will be broadcast on February 19th. In addition to these 14 acts, the broadcaster decided on four reserve acts.
If an artist is unable to perform in the National Final, these acts will compete at Dora 2022.
A professional jury selected the acts, which included Eljko Mesar (HRT), Zlatko Turkalj (HRT), Robert Urli (HRT), Antonela Doko (HGU), and Aljoa Eri (HDS). They had 184 songs to choose from after answering an open call.
