ZAGREB, CROATIA – Croatian national broadcaster withdrew from the Eurovision Song Contest, after dropping out in semifinal for the fourth time in a row. They said that they wouldn’t participate this year because of financial difficulties. But there is hope that they will return next year as they decided to air the show from Vienna. Croatia debuted in 1993, with Put’s Don’t ever cry. Their best results came in 1996 with Maja Blagdan’s Sveta Ljubav and in 1999, with Doris Dragovic’s Marija Magdalena. Last time Croatia qualified for the final was in 2009, when backup jury gave them the wildcard pushing out Serbia. Their last representatives were Klapa s mora with Miลพerja.
