REYKJAVIK, ICELAND – Iceland is marking its 30th anniversary in the Eurovision Song Contest next year with the release of a celebratory DVD set, featuring the best of the country in the contest.
The four set DVD pack, released by broadcaster RVU, features both memorable moments in Iceland’s Eurovision history, as well as highlights from the country’s national selection which has been in use every year since Iceland entered the contest, with exception between 1995-1999. Furthermore, all of Iceland’s Eurovision performances are featured in the set. The cost is 35 euros.

Iceland debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1986 and has taken part 28 times, with 24 finals secured. Its best results came in 1999 and 2009 and its worst in 1989 and 2001. In Vienna this year, the country failed to qualify to the final for the first time in five years.
