EUROVISION 2023 – Following Ukraine’s victory, Stefano Coletta, the head of Italian broadcaster RAI, said that Italy is ready to host the competition in 2023.
Stefano La Russo, Mayor of Turin, the 2022 host city, has said that although he hopes the competition may be held in a Ukrainian city, Turin is prepared to be “at the disposal of RAI and [the] EBU for a potential arrangement in the event that the tournament cannot be held in Ukraine.”
The city of Stockholm has expressed its readiness to host, but SVT has yet to reply.
While Icelandic media has claimed that RV is optimistic about hosting the 2023 competition.
Mr. Jacek Kurski told Plejada that TVP is eager to assist Ukraine in organising Eurovision 2023, but that any commitment would need to be considered with the Polish government first.
RTVE spokesman Mara Eizaguirre stated that the Spanish public broadcaster has proposed to host the Eurovision Song Contest next year. The spokeswoman said that RTVE is ready to assist Ukraine in any way necessary to organise the competition.
Following Ukraine’s triumph last night, RTVE is expected to be one of a handful of networks considering hosting the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023. It is presently unknown where next year’s competition will take place.
