On January 27th we have the British national final, Eurovision: You Decide 2017. The show begins at 20:30 CET and will be available through BBC Two for the UK residents while we expect to see a link from http://www.eurovision.tv for international viewers as BBC tweeted. In addition to their performances, musical guest performers will also feature in the show. A panel of three experts will provide feedback regarding the songs during the show. A combination of the votes from the public and the votes from a professional jury panel, distinct from the panel of experts who will provide feedback during the show, will select the winner. The members of the expert panel who will provide feedback regarding the songs will be: Bruno Tonioli – choreographer, dancer and television personality, Sophie Ellis-Bextor – singer and songwriter, CeCe Sammy – vocal and performance coach and television personality. Norway’s Eurovision 2009 winner Alexander Rybak was revealed as the first guest performer on 16 December 2016 and will perform his winning song “Fairytale”. Pop rock band The Vamps were also revealed as guest performers on 20 January 2017 and will perform their latest single “All Night” during the show.
Last but not least on January 28th at 20:00 CET you can watch the 4th heat of Eurovizijas, the national selection show. For the 2017 Contest, the Lithuanian national broadcaster, Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT), will broadcast the event within Lithuania and will organise the selection process for the nation’s entry. Other than the internal selection of their debut entry in 1994, Lithuania has selected their entry consistently through a national final procedure, a method that was continued for their 2016 participation. LRT confirmed their intentions to participate at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest on 11 August 2016. On 11 October 2016, the broadcaster announced the organization of “Eurovizijos” dainų konkurso nacionalinė atranka, which would be the national final to select Lithuania’s entry for Kiev.
