LILLEHAMMER 2004

Norwegian national broadcaster, NRK, hosted the second edition in Lillehammer’s Haakons Hall a show hosted by Stian Barsnes Simonsen & Nadia Hasnaoui on November 20th. 18 countries participated and Westlife followed last year’s Sugababes act in the interval. Vieweres of each participating country vote by telephone and SMS. Each country’s 10 favourites are awarded 1 to 8, 10 and 12 points based on the number of votes. The 2nd JESC was about to take place in Manchester (UK) but budget problems forced EBU to give the hosting to Norway after asking Croatia (previous year winners) if they can host it.

SERBIA 🇷🇸 We needed a bad song and we got it. Hurricane presented a bad mix of Balkan sound with disco tune in LOCO LOCO. Impossible to understand it, feel it and dance with it. Maybe the song presentation will change our minds. The Balkan banger was composed by Nemanja Antonić (also behind Hurricane’s Hasta la Vista) while Darko Dimitrov worked with him on the arrangement. Band member Sanja Vučić wrote the lyrics. 4 0
