Belarus hosted the 2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest edition in Minsk on November 20 at Minsk Arena. Citizens of each participating country vote by telephone and SMS, which counts for 50%. Each country’s 10 favourites are awarded 1 to 8, 10 and 12 points based on the number of vote. A jury in each country also has a 50% say in the outcome. Participants from 14 countries participated. Moldova was represented for the first time, Lithuanian broadcaster LRT, Latvian broadcaster LTV and Swedish broadcaster SVT returned. The Belarusian public broadcaster BTRC hosted a spectacular show which was won finally by the Armenian representative Vladimir Arzumanyan with Mama.
