Once again an Eastern European country wins the Junior Eurovision Song Contest despite the kids jury, despite the jury implementation by 50%. Somehow we knew it not because neighbor voting but because these countries always have the best entries in the contest.
Remarkably Azerbaijan who invested so much into a possible trophy failed big time to win this contest tonight although strong debutant country. Albania (another debutant) came last! and Israel although hot favourite (at least for fatcaz.com) didn’tmanage to even enter the top 5.
Although some may think the draw ight have helped Ukrainian entry to win we have to admit that this girl had the best voice of the night and somehow she is talented like Maria Isabel from 2004 JESC edition winner. Nebo didn’t need much and this is why a solo act won. Russia (another hot favourite by most polls on the web) failed because I think Lerika was too confident – somehow bitchy on stage.
In the voting Azerbaijan and Armenia didn’t exchange even a single point – expected but this enomicity seems a bit hilarious anyway. CIS countries voted for eachother while Albania had the courage to vote with maximum points the Albanian entry which was much better tonight than any of the rehearsals. Remember 50% of the voting was decided last night. ALbania surprised us all!
The show was amazing, the production and the TV quality was excellent the post cards were a masterpiece and the opening / interval acts impressed everyone on Twitter although some complaints geared for the streaming but no one really paid any attention to it. Indeed it was the best Junior Eurovision Song Contest with a wonderful hostess and an opening with Loreen’s entry from senior Eurovision.
