We are honored to have the interview from the returning country of Malta which returns in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and wouldn’t be surprised if they get the trophy in Kyiv this year, as we all know how much the love competing in a contest.
How did you feel when you were asked to represent Malta at the Junior Erovision?
I was over joyed! I’ve received the news while I was on holiday with my vocal coach in Gardaland fun park in Italy. When we were contacted to see if I would like to represent Malta in Kiev, I was speechless and I couldn’t believe it.
Are you happy that Malta is back in the Junior Eurovision?
Yes so happy, I couldn’t be happier. I hope that one day Malta will host the show. It would be a great opportunity to showcase my country.
Last year you won the category in San Remo Junior Festival, do you think you can do it again, but on Junior Eurovision? I will do my utmost to bring home the best results. I am confident that I will give a great show.
Explain to us what is your song all about?
My song is a very nice ballad that describes the passion I have for music. It is a very special and emotional song for me. It speaks about the voice that I have inside that I want to share with the world, I want to sing to the world, because music is my love.
Who was the one to tell you the news about your participation? What was the reaction of your family and school mates? My vocal teacher Gillian Atttard gave me the news, I’ve received the news when I was on holiday in Gardaland, a famous fun park in Italy. When we were contacted to see if I would like to represent Malta in Kiev, I was speechless and I couldn’t believe it. Everyone at home was so happy and my school mates really showed me their support.
You are going to Kyiv in November….do you know anything about the city or Ukraine?
I know that the weather in Ukraine is very cold but the people are very welcoming. Ukraine is a former Soviet Union Country and it became independent in 1991. The official language of Ukraine is Ukranian.
