Georgian national broadcaster confirmed to oikotimes.com that the Junior Eurovision 2013 national selection kicked of on June, when submission started. The submissions are due on July 10th and the country is eager to find the “winner” of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013
Young stars, talented children aged 10-15 from across Georgia can take part in the JESC National Contest. The singers are asked to send in their songs from their repertoire (audio version), a photo and CV, from June 10 until July 20. The winner in the National Final will represent Georgia at 2013 JESC.

FACTS ABOUT GEORGIA IN JUNIOR EUROVISION
JESC proved successful for Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB). Georgia won the contest twice.
Georgia took part in Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 for the first time, when Georgian participant, Mariam Romelashvili qualified for the fourth place, in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
In 2008, Group “Wasps”, with their song ,,Bzz” won the Sixth Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Lemesos, Cyprus.
In 2009 Group “Princesses”, with the song “Blue Bird” qualified for the 6th place in Kyiv, Ukraine.
In 2010 Mariam Kakhelishvili, with the song “Mari-Dari” ranked the 4th place in Minsk, Belarus.
Group “Candy” from Georgia won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011, which was held in Yerevan, Armenia.
In 2012 Georgian group “The FunKids” finished second, with the song “Funky Lemonade.“
