According to the official information of the web-site of the First National channel, the Ukrainian broadcaster, NTU, has started the national selection for the Junior Eurovision 2013. Starting form 2nd of April up the the 31st of May the young singers aged between 10-15 are allowed to submit their applications for participating in selection.
The next stage of the national selection is dedicated to the forming of the jury board that will be responsible for selecting top 20 of the participants who will continue competing in the final.
The final of the Ukrainian national selection is scheduled for the 1st of August and takes place as usual in the International Children Centre “Artek” which is situated at the Black Sea. The selected twenty contestants will stay at “Artek” for more than a week before the final rehearsing their stage performances with the choreographers, dancers and polishing their song presentation with their vocal coaches. As a result of mixed voiting (50%-televoting, 50% – jury voting) the winner and correspondingly the representative of Ukraine at JESC-2013 will be selected.
The Final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 will take place on 30th of November in Kyiv. Last year Anastasiya Petryk with the song “Nebo” brought victory to Ukraine.
