MOSCOW, RUSSIA – Tonight Russian national broadcaster held the national final for Junior Eurovision 2015 and Mikhail Smirnov won the show which took place at the Luzhniki Arena in Moscow. There were 18 acts bidding for Sofia but Mikhail finally won the jury and web voting.
The jury was composed by 7 members, including some well known names for Eurovision fans like Alisa Kozhikina (who represented Russia last year), Philipp Kirkorov (Eurovision composer and singer, represented Russia in 1995) and Julia Savicheva (represented Russia in 2004 at the adult ESC). The winner song is called Мечта (dream) and it will be performed by Mikhail Smirnov, who is 12 years old.
