POLAND – The opening ceremony which was quite limited and somehow a primitive effort for TVP, marked the opening of the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Though TVP can be proud of something: The 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest is set to be the first contest in a number of years to have featured no assistance from individuals outside of the host country. TVP has been working on organising the competition since January.
The only foreign involvement in the competition this year will come from Digame, who supervise the voting at the competition. Last year in Minsk, the competition was organised by the national broadcaster BTRC but used Gordon Bonello as the Director of the contest. Gordon Bonello had been the Director at the contest since 2014, having previously worked on the 2014 contest for PBS in Malta.
In the meantime after the opening ceremony, there was a draw for the first, last and host country position while the producers of the show decided the rest of the running order. The rehearsals then kicked off and now you can e the first round of rehearsals of all 19 participating countries and start casting your top five favourites for Junior Eurovision 2019. Though we have to remind you that the actual JESC voting is based on international voting without any restrictions per country.
THE RUNNING ORDER
Australia, France, Russia, North Macedonia, Spain, Georgia, Belarus, Malta, Wales, Kazakhstan, Poland, Ireland, Ukraine, The Netherlands, Armenia, Portugal, Italy, Albania and Serbia.
