JUNIOR EUROVISION 2020 WARSAW – For some days now newsdesks across Europe got on fire as there was something wrong. We all knew that EBU allows recorded backing vocals in JESC but three countries gave their official voting videos entirely (obviously) in playback. Among them winner Valentina from France.
EBU might be thriving on Twitter as #jesc2020 became an international trend reaching 6th position but it wasn’t for the right reasons.
Belarus, Russia and France sent their recorded performances for the international voting with full playback performance (including the singers, something which is not allowed).
Explicadme los playbacks. En serio. Cómo va eso. Por qué pueden. No es ilegal? #EurovisionJunior

Eurovision fans are furious with the developments accusing the EBU and the host broadcaster TVP for unfair treatment to other countries.
Not to mention of course that the Dutch entrants performed on a stage which was clearly not the one assigned by the organisers’ guidelines.
The issue was known to many juries who might have been affected by this and definitely by the online voters who thought they were listening live vocals.
No one even bothered when VALENTINA herself posted on Twitter that she was singling playback admitting the big flop of the organisers. For tonight’s show though VALENTINA says to those who claim that she was again full playback, that this is not true.
Of course, there was no penalty to any of the broadcasters and no official explanation on this issue. The fans are furious on Twitter and social media and the delay of the organisers exposed and humiliated EBU and TVP big time.
Now we all gonna wonder: Did France deserve to win?
@Eurovision in the next Song Contest, all the countries can be participate with playback instead of live voice? After the @EurovisionJr show, with 4 countries using playback… I think that's possible on 2021, right? #JuniorEurovision2020 #JESC2020 #eurovision
