FRANCE – The official voting started and EBU finally released all the second rehearsal videos. The impression after the conclusion of the second round of rehearsals today is making our estimation even more clear.
๐ณ FIRST VOTING PHASE KICKS OFF
๐ณ VOTE IN JUNIOR EUROPREDICTION
From the last set of countries rehearsing today, it was clear that the best vocal were those of Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Albania and Armenia, although fan favourites in the studio version, seems not satisfying in the live vocal performance. Our today’s favourite? Ukraine!
Now that we had the second round of rehearsals, it is clear that OIKOPANEL and JUNIOR EUROPREDICTION might already predict the winner. For the moment and ahead of the dress rehearsal on 18/12 we think that Poland, Italy and Georgia have the best chances to win this year.
Poland, because Sara James is as another Rihanna taking the stage, the face will be very familiar to the youth audience, the country is massively interested and vote to participate in the process and the song/performance are close to the level of excellence.
Georgia, because it is a song that totally fits a French stage, Niko is the kid which definitely appeals to the definition of what a Junior Eurovision is and the song is amazingly catchy, retro and the vocal performance definitely catches your attention.
Italy, because the country smashes all records in victories all over the events this year. Olympics, music awards, Eurovision and now a fashionable Italian singer bids to take the JESC trophy back to Italy for a second time. Not to mention that the performance is outstanding.
Ukraine, because Olena is the definition of what modern Eastern Europe is, a fact that approaches the Western prototypes, the song is interesting and the performance is stunning. Let’s not forget that always the eastern European countries have greater chances to win JESC than others.
In other news of the day, EBU has a press conference where French national broadcasters seriously believe they can win JESC again this year, they hope to win senior Eurovision soon and EBU is claiming they are close to reaching a deal with the BBC. Seriously, don’t even know for which one I should bet for…
Have a recap view, participate in the official voting and join our prediction poll. Let’s have fun and let’s enjoy the 19th Junior Eurovision Song Contest…
