FINLAND – The Rasmus has released a music video for their song “Jezebel.” They bid to represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022.
The Rasmus are considered one of the favourites to win Finland’s UMK 2022. They won an online vote by a landslide and have been tipped to represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022.
Jesse Haaja directed the video, which was inspired by both the band and the filmmaker. The song “Jezebel” was composed by vocalists Lauri Ylรถnen and Desmond Child.

Desmond has penned hits for artists including Kiss, Bon Jovi, and Aerosmith.
These include Kiss’s “I Was Made For Lovin’ You,” Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer,” and Alice Cooper’s “Poison.”
Rasmus was founded in 1994 in Helsinki and was first known simply as Rasmus. Already in 1996, their first full-length album, Peep, hit in Finland and was recognized as a gold record after selling over 21,000 copies.
When the song “In the Shadows” was released in 2003, the group achieved gold status.
The song charted worldwide and provided the trio with a top ten success in numerous European nations. On Spotify, the song has had over 100 million plays.
The group’s lineup changed for the first time since 1999, right before it was revealed that they will participate in Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu.
Pauli Rantasalmi, one of the band’s original members, has announced his departure.
Emppu Suhonen, the new guitarist, was formerly a member of the girl group TikTok, who had considerable popularity in Finland in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
